Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Where am I?

On the picket line Celebrating Juneteenth and the Black Writers Salon. Continuing to support our brother’s and sister’s of The WGAEast… I think I’m still tired… great seeing so many friends and new friends alike… I think getting to share “why?” with passerby’s when they asked what’s going on is part of our service.

As I was capturing images this woman who was a nanny stopped me and asked what’s going on? I explained to her what we were out on the line fighting for. She said, “ I take care of this beautiful child and for four years I have been promised a raise, and nothing. But, I’m going to sit down with her tonight and ask for what I need.” I said, “wow, that’s awesome, know your worth.” She said, “thank you for speaking with me, it’s just what I needed.” You never know who needs to hear what it is you have to say…. My, hope is she gets what she needs! Keep fighting!!!

The fight is not over...

I will fight...
